Crywolf Announces Cataclasm

Below is a special message from Justin, Crywolf, to his fans…

Hey everybody!

I am really happy to finally announce that I will be working on a new concept album in May, titled “Cataclasm.” I’ve been working on the songs for this album for the last two and a half years, and they are are some of the most vulnerable art pieces I have ever made, so I am beyond excited that this is all finally coming to fruition.

I knew I had to do something special for this one, so I am going to be traveling to a cabin in the remote north of Iceland to write, record, and produce the whole thing. Iceland has always been one of the most artistically inspiring places to me, and I couldn’t think of a better place to work on one of the most important pieces of art I have ever created.

I wanted to really get you guys involved in this, so there are two things we are doing to help make that happen:

1: A lot of you have written and commented asking for more ways to get involved with my music financially, so we are launching a PledgeMusic page where you can preorder the album, as well as pledge for all kinds of cool exclusive prizes and experiences – from simple things like buttons and stickers or hiring me to write you a song…. to weirder things like a stick and poke tattoo from me, a lock of my hair, or getting me to come to your family’s barbecue. Every dollar you spend goes towards the pretty sizable costs of making this album – it all goes towards making this the best release I’ve made to date.

2: I’m bringing a bunch of cameras, and will be posting periodic video updates for everyone who has preordered the album. I’ll be showing you an in depth look at my creation process, my adventures in Iceland, and everything that will go into this album.

Part of me doesn’t feel comfortable asking for your money, but another part of me thinks it’s incredibly cool and beautiful that hundreds of fans can get involved and make something really significant happen – something beyond the scope of what I could do alone. This isn’t really a kickstarter type of thing…. I am going to make this album happen regardless. However, with your help, I can boost it to the next level and really blow it out of the park. Think of it as more of an album preorder system, with extra options in case you want to help out even more. You’ll be able to not only help pay for this album, but also to watch every step of the way and be involved.

I’m excited to see what happens. You guys have always blown me out of the water with the voracity of your support, and for that I am forever grateful.
